Red clover

Red Clover is a common green manure crop that forms a large root mass and has a good tolerance to cover crops. It is good for improving the fertility of soil as the nodule bacteria on the roots of the plant bind atmospheric nitrogen and thus enrich the soil with nitrogen. This is the reason clover is often sown as the first crop in the field.
