Lime paste

Protects tree trunks from sunburn by mitigating the harmful effects of sudden temperature fluctuations that cause the bark to crack. Also destroys pests and their eggs because it contains slaked lime.

Manual

To prepare lime paint, mix the paint solution in a ratio of 1: 4 (about 1 part lime paste “Saaremaa Lime” and about 4 parts ordinary water). Lime paint is applied to the trunks and crown branches with a brush. Bleached in dry weather when the air temperature is above 0ºC. Some of the paint may fall off during the winter, bleaching may be repeated if necessary.
