Fruit Tree Bark White Paste

Protects fruit trees from frost damage. Ready-to-use paint for whitening and protecting trees from frost cracks and heat. Pathogens enter the tree through tree wounds, which can lead to the death of the tree. The special reflective coating prevents one-sided heating on sunny days, thereby avoiding strains and tears in the trunk. The bark remains undamaged and intact.

The usage rate on smooth bark is approximately 270 g/m2 (use 1.5 kg for up to 5.6 m2 bark area). Remove loose bits of bark from the trunk. Apply the paint on the trunk below the crown. The paint can be used all year round at temperatures above 0°C. It is especially important to apply it in the period between November and March. Store without freezing. The paste is thixotropic, which means it becomes spreadable when applied. For larger quantities, you can dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:2. In dry weather, the setting time is about 2 hours. Spraying method. Dilute the paste with water in a ratio of 1:3. Use a garden sprayer and a special lime spray nozzle to apply the paint to the trunk. Wear safety glasses. Use the diluted solution up as soon as possible. Unused solution can be discarded with household waste.The white paint is gradually washed away from the trunk usually within a few months. The product has especially been developed in a way where the white paint does not disturb the aesthetics of the garden in summer. Steady rain may lead to faster paint wear, therefore do not apply the white paint on the trunk too early before winter.Please note! The paint contains slaked lime, which is a refined natural product (it is included also in mortar etc.). Slaked lime is alkaline and therefore classified as harmful to the eyes. The irritating effect is due to the high pH value. The product does not contain toxic substances.Attention! Can cause serious eye damage. Can cause skin irritation. In case of skin contact, wash the skin with plenty of soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse the eyes carefully with water for several minutes. If possible, remove contact lenses and continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, consult your doctor. Keep away from children.
